On August 4, the “2025 Hong Kong Media Students Internship Program of FCJ Reporting Scheme—Liaoning Tour” was launched in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. For the next eight days, ten students from universities such as the Education University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Shue Yan University will travel to the cities of Shenyang, Dalian, Jinzhou, and Chaoyang, visiting the Shenyang Imperial Palace, Shenyang SIASUN Robot & Automation Co., Ltd., Jinzhou’s Bijia Mountain Scenic Area, Chaoyang’s Niuheliang National Archaeological Site Park, and Dalian’s Xinghai Square and Baiyu Mountain. They will also have opportunities to communicate with people from all walks of life in the province, as well as students from Liaoning University.
This is the first time the “FCJ Program” has been held in Liaoning. During the tour, the students will not only appreciate Liaoning’s beautiful natural scenery, and learn about the achievements of Liaoning’s economic and social development, but also experience the unique charm of Liaoning’s local culture. Wing Zheng, deputy editor-in-chief of Hong Kong’s Ta Kung Pao and head of the “2025 FCJ Program” delegation, said that through field visits, mutual learning and exchanges, young students from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China will gain a comprehensive and multi-faceted understanding of Liaoning.
Lam Kai Mai, a student from Hong Kong Shue Yan University, has visited Liaoning for the first time, and cherishes this valuable practical opportunity. She expressed her enthusiasm for every upcoming activity during this tour, expecting to express her earnest feelings about Liaoning and record them with her pen, so as to share Liaoning’s stories with Hong Kong SAR and the world.
The “FCJ Program” aims to enhance Hong Kong youth’s understanding of the Chinese mainland and cultivate talented journalists with a patriotic heart, and both integrity and professional competence. The tour is hosted by the Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group and the Publicity Department of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee.
