Liaoning Provincial Museum embraces a new resident performance! From August 13 to 31, the folk music special performance “Chinese Music in Fashion”, curated by Liaoning Provincial Public Cultural Service Center, and performed by Liaoning Song and Dance Ensemble (Liaoning National Orchestra), is being staged in the Multi-Function Hall on the first floor of Liaoning Provincial Museum.

“Chinese Music in Fashion” is a representative work of Liaoning Song and Dance Ensemble (Liaoning National Orchestra), which comprises two sections: “Tradition and Inheritance” and “Nation and World”. Its repertoire includes Song of the Phoenix, The Crescent Moon at Midnight, Give Me a Rose, In That Distant Place, etc. Moreover, the folk music special performance also features stylish stage design, exquisite costumes, and innovative programming. The resonant and graceful melodies of the guqin (a seven-stringed zither) and other traditional Chinese stringed and woodwind instruments will lead the audience into an intriguing and romantic world of traditional Chinese culture, making Chinese folk music a fashion trend.

“Chinese Music in Fashion” is being performed once daily from Tuesday to Friday at 3:00 pm, and twice daily on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. Visitors can make reservations up to one week in advance via Liaoning Provincial Museum’s official WeChat public account or the “Liaoning Provincial Museum Reservation” WeChat mini-program.

The folk music performance has toured many cities and has been well-received by audiences. The museum’s collaboration with a folk music ensemble has not only enriched venue options for folk music performances, but also expanded the museum’s service capabilities.
