On the evening of August 14, the “Ballet Night” and the awards ceremony of the Liaoning (Shenyang) Ballet Competition was held in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province. Over 1,000 attendees, including contestants from more than ten countries, Chinese and international judges and guests, as well as audiences from various sectors, gathered at the Liaoning Grand Theatre to witness the glorious finale of this ballet extravaganza.
The Liaoning Grand Theatre was ablaze with lights, and filled with the elegant and dynamic aura of ballet artistry. The ceremony commenced with a captivating highlight reel of the competition, and the Chinese and international judges successively announced the winners, presenting awards including Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, as well as Best Choreography, Best Performance, and the Jury Panel Special Award.
During the intervals between award presentations, a series of exquisite ballet performances offered the audience an immersive and enchanting artistic experience. Chinese and international ballet dancers and contestants performed the group dance Étude, the modern ballet Smile, and excerpts from Romeo and Juliet and Don Quixote. The ensemble performance Dancing Starlight by the award-winning contestants brought the awards ceremony to its climax, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Over the past seven days, the Liaoning (Shenyang) Ballet Competition delivered spectacular performances.
