Moist air rises from the woods of Sujiayingzi Village, Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province, intermingled with the fragrance of plants and the smell of soil. Every year after the Qingming Festival, flocks of herons arrive here to nest, and around the Mid-Autumn Festival, they migrate away with their birdlings, as if keeping an appointment with the beautiful mountains and rivers of the village. This remains unchanged year after year. Amid the mountains, rivers, and birds, poems of nature unfold, as well as vivid stories about the harmonious coexistence between humans and herons.
