The latest data from Shenyang Customs shows that in the first seven months of this year, the total volume of Liaoning’s import and export trade in goods reached 437.61 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%. Of this total, its exports amounted to 234.78 billion yuan, setting a new record over the same period; its imports reached 202.83 billion yuan. Notably, Liaoning’s import and export volume with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) totaled 240.89 billion yuan, accounting for 55.1% of the province’s total foreign trade over the same period. This serves as a solid pillar of Liaoning’s open economy.
