On September 12, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference to introduce arrangements for the 6th Liaoning International Fair of Investment and Trade.

The 6th Liaoning International Fair of Investment and Trade is scheduled to take place in Shenyang from September 25 to 28. The fair will be held under the theme “Northeast Revitalization in the New Era, A New Journey of Cooperation and Win-win Outcomes”. As of now, the fair is expected to sign 181 key projects.

The opening ceremony of the fair will be held on September 25 at the Shenyang New World Expo. State leaders, leaders from 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, government officials from more than 50 countries and regions, representatives and guests from Fortune Global 500 companies, central state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and business associations, totaling nearly 700 guests, are expected to attend the opening ceremony.

The fair will focus on attracting foreign investment to Liaoning and will host four international economic and trade matchmaking events themed “Invest in Liaoning”. Emphasizing bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, culture and tourism, it will hold three exchange events with Japan, Mongolia and Uzbekistan. Concurrently, the Second Liaoning Entrepreneurs Convention will be held on September 26 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Shenyang; and the 22nd China (Shenyang) Korea Week will run in Shenyang from September 25 to 28.

For the first time, the fair has designated a guest of honor country and has invited South Korea to serve in that role. It will also hold two special events on economic and trade cooperation with Japan and a special matchmaking event for China (Liaoning)-Mongolia economic and trade cooperation for the first time. A cumulative total of over 100 various events will be held, featuring more diverse forms and stronger appeal.
