The large-scale exhibition China in Poetry and Painting: The Poetic Realm of Chinese Painting, jointly presented by the Liaoning Provincial Museum and ten other cultural and museum institutions across China, opened at the Liaoning Provincial Museum on December 30, 2025. This exhibition has garnered widespread attention from all sectors of society, and attracted more than 2,000 visitors on its opening day.

The first batch of 10,000 early bird tickets was promptly sold out, and the additional 5,000 ones were also snapped up by enthusiastic visitors shortly after going on sale. On the morning of December 30, the museum offered exquisite cultural and creative souvenirs to the first, 100th, 200th, and 300th visitors, wishing them a happy new year.

Breaking away from the conventional format of displaying works chronologically or by artistic school, the exhibition features ten poetic themes, including “Elegant Odes to Paintings”, “In Search of the Peach Blossom Spring”, “Spring River Under the Bright Moon”, “Layered Peaks and Misty Rivers”, “Poetic Echoes at the Flower-Washing Creek”, “The Pure Chants of Fangweng” and “Falling Flowers Bid Farewell to Spring”. These themes systematically integrate poetry and painting from different periods and by different authors. Just a gentle reminder: the exhibition will run until March 29, 2026.
