To best meet the public’s visiting needs during the winter vacation, the Liaoning Provincial Museum will increase and extend its opening hours from January 15 to February 28.

From January 15 to February 28, the museum will remain open on Mondays. During this period, from Monday to Thursday, and on Sundays, opening hours will be extended by one hour, from 9 am to 6 pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays, opening hours will be extended by two hours, from 9 am to 7 pm. Opening arrangements for the 2026 Spring Festival holiday will be announced separately.

No reservations are presently required for visits to the museum. Visitors can enter the museum by presenting their ID cards. For children and foreign passport holders, a special access passage is opened. Senior people over 70 years old, people with disabilities, and active military personnel can have priority entry by presenting valid credentials.

During the winter vacation, seven major exhibitions will be held simultaneously, including China in Poetry and Painting: The Poetic Realm of Chinese Painting, The Art of Lacquering: Exhibition of Yuan, Ming, and Qing Lacquerware Masterpieces, Decorative Patterns of Cultural Relics: Educational Exhibition on the Essence of Traditional Chinese Culture, Eastern Metropolis Mirrored in the Liang River: Exhibition of Copies and Unearthed Artifacts from the Han-Wei-Jin Mural Tombs of Liaoyang, The Glamour of Tang and Song Dynasties: The Art World in Digital Painting Realm, Exploring the Han Dynasty Haihun Fief, and Galactic Rhapsody: Verse One.
