Liaoning Provincial Museum to Extend Opening Hours for 2026 Spring Festival

The Liaoning Provincial Museum will extend its opening hours during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday from February 15 to February 23. On February 15, 17, and 23, the museum will extend its service by one hour, opening from 9 am to 6 pm. On February 16 (Chinese New Year’s Eve), the museum will be open from 9 am to 2 pm. From February 18 to 22, the museum will run from 9 am to 7 pm.

Currently, the museum operates on a no-reservation admission policy. Visitors may enter the museum by swiping their ID cards. Children and international tourists holding passports may enter via a dedicated passage after completing a QR code registration. Senior citizens aged 70 and above, individuals with disabilities, and active-duty military personnel are granted priority admission upon presentation of valid credentials.

During the Spring Festival holiday, the museum will present ten major exhibitions. Highlights include: China in Poetry and Painting: The Poetic Realm of Chinese PaintingThe Art of Lacquering: Exhibition of Yuan, Ming, and Qing Lacquerware MasterpiecesGalloping Hooves: Chinese Zodiac Artifacts Exhibition for the Bingwu Year of the HorseSongs of Seasonal Joy in Chinese New Year PrintsDecorative Patterns of Cultural Relics—Educational Exhibition on the Essence of Traditional Chinese Culture, and Exploring the Han Dynasty Haihun Fief.
