The opening ceremony of Northeast City Football League (NCFL) was held on May 23, with matches kicking off simultaneously across Northeast China’s four provincial-level regions.

Jointly hosted by Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia, the league features city-based teams from Shenyang, Dalian, Changchun, Yanbian, Harbin, Jixi, Hohhot and Tongliao. The opening matches got underway concurrently at four home venues on the day, with eight teams competing at the same time.
