Liaoning-born actor Yin Xiaotian has returned to his hometown! The Liaoning People’s Art Theatre is currently restaging the classic play Thunderstorm, with Yin cast in the role of Zhou Ping. Thunderstorm—a masterpiece of Chinese drama penned by playwright Cao Yu—was previously staged in its entirety by the theatre back in 1957.

In terms of his return to Liaoning for this play, Yin shared excitedly, “I grew up near the Liaoning People’s Art Theatre, and have always held a deep affection for its stage. Returning home to take a lead role in this play fulfills a long-held dream of mine.”
